Bedrest

So I had a dr. appt this last Thurday and my blood pressure was up to 170/?. At the time I really didn't think anything of it, just the my feet were really swollen and hurt, and my hands too. He told me that I needed to rest, and go on medical leave ASAP. I didn't really ask any questions. I even went home and had a two hour nap. Then around 10pm that night I started to look things up on the internet about high blood pressure during pregnancy. WHELP, I wish I new about this before my dr. appt because now I have ALOT of questions, and it makes sense on some symptoms I have that I didn't even think to tell my dr. Like Thursday night I said to Hussa my eyes seem blurry, like I can't focus(that's a sign), another thing I didn't tell my dr. is that I have been getting cramping, and a little little bit of spotting that only lasted a day. The spotting only happened a couple of weeks ago and I forgot to tell him. Hussa told me I need to write these things down so I have a list to tell the dr. instead of thinking of them after wards. But the good news is that I have another appt with him on Tuesday for them to check my blood pressure again.

So with going on medical leave early I talked with my boss the very next day, and my last work day is this coming Thursday April 9/09. Trust me I'm excited and sad that it's happening so fast. I tentatively gave them a date of May 6-7, so this does bump me up. I'm going to be fine with taking things easy, but I know my sleep scheld. is going to be all off kilt and I'll turn into a night hawk. Anyways Ill hopefully keep this blog posted :)

Update Blog, My birthday,.....and......Its a BOY!!!!!!

So I've been getting told alot lately that I need to update our blog, but I seriously don't really know what to write about. Until now...

Today I am 29 weeks preggo's( I don't know how to change my little ticker on the side)Me and Ryan went to my last ultrasound ( if everything goes smooth) at the end of Feb. and got to see our little one and find out the sex of the baby. During the whole time with the ultrasound tech I kept trying to get her to tell us the sex of the baby but she kept catching me and calling it "little Munchkin". Seriously why can't they tell us right there what we are having instead of making you wait till you see your Dr. Anyways, after she was doing her measurements of the baby she finally moves the screen and I can finally see what Ryan and her have been looking at. So she shows me the arm, head, profile, heart, and then she shows me that the "little Munchkin" has it's legs crossed!!!!! Got my heart jumpin because I really wanted to find out the sex of the baby, I even drank 2 things of Orange juice on top of the water I had to drink to get the ultrasound, so I was in pain with my bladder and this "little Munchkin" not showing me what's it's got!!!! So I quickly asked the tech " did you get a shot of the sex of the baby?" and she says "Yes" Thank Goodness!!!! But another thing the tech told me was that I was measuring 29 weeks and 4 days when I should have only been 27 weeks and 4 days. I was a little confused and happy because then I'd have my due date bumped UP!! Because that's another reason we got this last ultrasound was the finally get a good due date. To find out the results we had to wait a week till my visit with my Dr.


The Dr. appt was on my 29th birthday, and I thought that would be a great gift to me to finally find out the sex of the baby, then go out for dinner with family and tell them. Ryan and I went to the appt,I got weighed,measured, heard the heart beat, etc. Finally Dr. comes in the room and he asked how I was doing....small talk....finally I asked him so what's the sex of the baby, and he says it dosen't say....I said what?? The tech said she got a good shot!! He kinda chuckles...and then I say just tell me it's a boy, and my dr. says it's a girl. I said WHAT??? He laughs and then shows me the paper and it says M for ITS A BOY!!!!! YIPPEEEE!!! Because seriously that's all I've been buying is boy stuff. I think I only have three girl outfits. I had a feeling it was a boy!! And I can't wait, not saying I wouldn't be happy if it was a girl, it's just I'm not ready to have a little Emily running around. I'm ready to have a little Hussa :)


Went to Tony Roma's for supper and my parents were the first to get there and they didn't even ask what we were having!!!lol I think they must of forgot or something. Then Ryan's parents get there and the first thing his mom does is comes and give me a hug and whispers in my ear " so what's the sex?" I said it's a boy loud enough so my parents can hear.......and no reaction from them....lol.....Finally Mimi and her family get there and she asks right away....so then I said it LOUDER so maybe I could get some reaction from my parents....So my mom covers her mouth and says " ITS A BOY" I said yes!!! and of course my mom says that she knew it all along!!! LOL

Oh and with my due date my dr. wants to keep May 25th, and says that if the baby comes early then it comes early, and if it comes late then so be it. I'm hoping it comes early:)

I don't have any ultrasound pic scanned so I thought I would put picture's of Hussa aka Ryan :)

Anyways I think that's enough of an update for the next two months LOL

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

Baby on the WAY!!!

Ok so most of you already know that there is a little bun in the oven :) We don't know the exact due date yet until we have our ultra sound on December 19. Because of the miscarriage we had this last May my monthly was not exactly on time each month after. But some how we got preggo's :) At first I was really REALLY tired, and motion sickness. Then I got the magic pills which work GREAT. For some reason though I thought I was ok to take myself off of the magic pills, but I've soon realized that I still need to take 1or2 a day still. Hopefully I won't in a month or so.

Ryan and I are going to find out the sex of this baby if they can tell with this ultra sound. And the reason's why are... we haven't sold our house yet and if we are still living here when the baby arrives then I don't need any extra stuff(clutter) then we already do. Another reason why is if you know me I am the most impatient person out there ( At least I can admit to it)and waiting 9 months....NOPE.....but I bet with us wanting to find out there not going to be able to tell at the ultra sound...ha ha ha

We did get to hear the heart beat last week at my Dr. appt. Lets just say that hearing the little thud thud kinda made it real that there is a baby really growing in there. Besides me poking my stomach here and there the feel the bump...lol The nurse said sometimes we can hear the heart beat and sometimes we can't this early. So she tried and a couple mins later she had it, but I got so excited that I moved and then she lost it :( But she tried again and we got it :) I didn't move an inch, I even sucked in to help...LOL(don't know why). The nurse was really nice and let Ryan and I listen to the thud for about 5 mins :) Ryan and I had the most biggest perma grin EVER all night long. I wish I taped the sound on my cell phone, but maybe next time :)

Last Sunday

So last Sunday Ryan and I went to my parents house for Sunday dinner. We usually go a little early so we can get the potatoes on and set the table, so dinner will be all ready for when my parents get home from church. Well we went in Ryan truck and I didn't bring my keys that had a key to my parents house. We were locked OUT!!!! We had to wait about 45 mins till my mom got home. We also went a little bit earlier so we could put some boxes in the garage because we are trying to sell our house and instead of having clutter I store it at my parents house :) Anyways my mom finally showed up and let me in, and I instantly went to get the key to the garage so Ryan can unload the boxes while I help with dinner. When I unlocked the door I told Ryan "here is the key so when your done can you remember to lock the door?" He says "you don't need a key to lock the door" I said "Huh?". So then I closed the door with Ryan and the key in the garage and locked to door to see if he was right. LMAO Yup he was right....ha ha ha I said "slide the key under the door and I'll let you out". He goes " why did you lock the door?" I explained "I wanted to see if you were right, and you were, now slide the key under the door?" He goes " No" so I said " fine you can stay locked in the garage until I come back out because I'm going inside the house" And I did. When I got inside my mom asked where Ryan was and I told her he's locked in the garage and won't slide the key under the door. Then my mom sticks up for him and wants me to let him out, like it was my fault that he won't slide the key under the door. So I stayed inside for about another 5 mins and went out to see if he was going to slid the key. Right away he did.....LOL......That story still makes me laugh.....

Starting a blog all over again, but there are some old one's on here because I blogged when me and Ryan where dating :)

Well here I am again, blogging or trying to again. It's been so long since I wrote on here that I don't know where to begin. So I'll start with how me and Ryan met.

When I moved back from Edmonton I didn't think I would ever find a boyfriend. So I was doing some research on the internet about online dating and looking at some sites. I'm so cheap I didn't want to pay to find someone, so I found a free site called Pleanty of Fish. It's a online free site here in Lethbridge. So I made a profile with no picture's and my heading was "Can you tell the truth?" I had been on for about 2-3 weeks and didn't meet anyone or talk to anyone. Then one day after work I went online and got an instant message and this is how our conversation goes...or how it all began :)

Ryan- I can tell the truth
Me- Huh??
Ryan-how's it going?
Me-good and you?
Ryan-good
Ryan- So what do you do for a living?
Me- I'm a dental assistant and you?
Ryan- I'm an ash fault (something)
Ryan- Who do you work for?
Me- I'm not telling your that
Ryan I'm just asking because my uncle is a Dentist
Me- Who is he?
Ryan- Dr. Dave Lowry
Me- Are you mormon?
Ryan- Are you?
Me- I asked you first..
Ryan- I was brought up Mormon but not going to church
Ryan-Now are you?
Me- Same but not practicing
Ryan- So how old are you?
Me- 26 and you?

Me- what do you do?
Ryan- Ash fault applicator
Me-Oh I see
Ryan- This sounds dumb but I have to go,can I have your number?
Me- No
Ryan- I mean can I text you?
Me- Oh yeah sure I'll give you my cell number


So after he got off(because he was at work using the computer) He texted me right away to make sure I gave him the right phone number. I did, and we were texting each other none stop, while we were both at work, while we were out with friends, and text until the wee hours in the morning. During this time we really got to know each other. Then he wanted to talk on the phone and I didn't know if I wanted to or not but he was calling me and I didn't answer because I wasn't ready and I was cooking corn on the cob. Then he called me again and I answered. Well we kept talking,and talking that I forgot about the corn and finally my brother yelled that I burnt the corn(just so you know I have never burnt corn on the cob before and never thought anyONE could..LOL)Me and Ryan had a good laugh and he kept bugging me(till this day too) He was very pushy on wanting to meet me, and I was hesitant on meeting someone off the internet. Thru texting and talking on the phone he would ask questions on where I live?, What kind of car do I drive? What color is it? Questions I would answer not thinking anything of it.


Then one night Ryan said we should meet, and I said sure. But he was going out for dinner and football game with some friends and he wanted to meet afterwards,I said sure. Little did I know he had left his phone at home so it could charge. The whole time I was texting him there was no response because I didn't know his phone was at home. I got a little mad and texted him we weren't going to meet. But I guess he went to his house during half time to get his phone and start texting me. So when he got his phone and saw we weren't going to meet, he was a little bit mad too and asked why and I told him because I haven't heard from him all night and didn't think we should meet. He texted fine, and would call me when he got home.

Ryan called about 11:30 and we talked and we would ask each other questions. As I was talking with him I could hear that he was putting on his shoes. I asked him what he was doing? He said nothing. So I just played along. As we were talking he would ask me again where I lived? What kind of car I drove? What color?? I had a feeling he was driving around where I lived to try and find my house. So I went up stairs and was talking to while looking out the window. Then I saw him driving up behind my car. He said he found where I lived, and read out my license plate, I told him nope that's not it. All of a sudden I saw his truck pull away down the alley. Again we are still talking on the phone with him not knowing I just saw his truck. So I played dumb and was waiting for him to drive by again. He still didn't drive by, so I kept looking out the window for him thinking he walked to my house and was going to look in the window or something. All of a sudden I saw this thing at the bottom of the window and I thought it was Ryan's hand crawling, scared the CRAP out of me!!!! I yelled on the phone saying I just saw him and he said no, that's not me. So I open the blinds ALL the way and there in front of my house is a DEER!!!!! Again scared the CRAP out of me....heart was pounding!!! Ryan was by my house in the alley watching the deer so he knew this was my house and I was home. He was trying so hard to convince me to come out and see him. I told him I was in my, pajama's, hair pulled back, wearing my glasses with no make-up on. ( What a great first impression...LOL) He said he is going to sit out here in my alley that has a little ledge and wait. I told him if I come out Im comimg out and he can't laugh at me or watch me walk towards him, and if I don't come out he can't be mad.

We got off the phone and I went down stairs to my room and was talking to myself telling myself I should go, no don't go......finally I told myself this is now or never. If he likes me he likes me, if he dosen't then oh well. I went upstairs with knowing my mom was still awake and my brother. ( yes I lived at home) I looked out the front door and saw Ryan sitting on the ledge with his back turned to me. I was so nervOUS!!! I opened the door waiting for him to turn around, walked thru the leaves making the crunchy sound, and sat down beside him and he turned around and introduced himself :)


Even though I was in the pajama's, hair pulled back, no make up on he stayed there and talked with me:) We were out there for a good 2 hours just talking and having fun, laughing. He even did this water fountain thing while spitting out water(funny). Finally it was 2 or 2:30 in the morning and we both had to get up for work at 7AM. He stood up and offered his hand and pulled me up and gave me a BIG HUG!!!! And said he enjoyed himself and was happy we met. That night after he left we still kinda texted back and forth, but afterwards I don't think I slept a wink because I was so happy that we finally met :)
