This is a warning that this may be a long post and a little too much, but this is for me to document what's going on with this pregnancy :) Now remember Im 32 1/2 weeks.
I've been having off and on contractions/braxton hick/cramping for awhile now- nothing new. But last Tuesday I thought I felt a little gush of liquid that I couldn't stop. I didn't think I needed to go to the hospital, just thought to myself that I would keep and eye on it if my water broke. Nothing was leaking for the next couple of days. Until Friday I was sitting on the couch eating my sandwich with my legs kinda opened. All of a sudden I felt a little gush again!! So I finally tell Ryan what's been going on this week with me "Maybe" leaking, and I asked him if I should go to L&D? Of course he said "yes". Ryan stayed home with Dylan while I went and I didn't think it would take long. They would just do a swab or something and send me on my way.
I get up to L&D and right away I go pee in a cup so they could do a dip and see if they catch any amniotic fluid. The nurse comes back and say there is a "little, Little" trace of something along with traces of maybe a UTI. I've never had a bladder infection, and I didn't have any symtoms of it either. The nurse sent it to the lab so they could do a better test on it. But while we were waiting the nurse wanted to do another test that you swab down there for about a min-rotating the swab (NOT COMFORTABLE AT ALL )This would tell her if I did for sure have fluid. Well when she pulled it out it was BLOOD!! I looked at her and asked " Is this normal?", and she looked at it suprised too and said "No". But then she said this could just be my "Bloody show" The nurse did the test with that swab and it came back to negative with it not being amniotic fluid, which was a relief, but why the blood?? So after that she decided to call my Dr. and see what he wanted done, he decided to come down and check me out.
Dr. Burton came down and wanted to take precaution and make sure we did all the tests to be sure I was not in pre-term labor. So he did three more swabs, 2nd&3rd of them are culture reading that I won't find out the results for a couple of days. The 1st swab is called Fetal Fibronectin test. This test has I think 96% chance of telling you if your going to deliver in the next 7-10 days. I had to wait another hour for the results, and that test came back positive!!! WHAT??? The nurse explained to me that f this test came out neg. then they would know for sure I'm not going into pre-term labor. But because it came out positive then it still Im still in limbo and they don't know what to tell me!! lol So right away my dr. got me my first shot of steroids to help develop the baby's lungs, and for me to come back to next day for my last shot. Then all my nurse could say is if your water breaks breaks, bleeding, or strong contractions then I am to come back to L&D. She also said I can continue doing whatever I was doing before, but I've been taking it easy with LOTS of help from Ryan.
I have been bleeding off and on, but nothing serious. I am a little scared this baby is going to come early, but I feel ok with it since I got the shots to help with the lungs. Dylan was born at 34 1/2 weeks and I'm hoping this baby will last longer. I really REALLY don't want to have another baby in the NICU while still trying to take care of a 2 year old. But if things happen I am prepared :) I have an appt with my dr. today to see what the test result are, and to check me out.

2 year picture's

These are seriously the only 3 poses that we got from him. I would sit him down and say "smile" and he would do that smile but then get up and walk out of the studio. We would get him, place him down and say Smile, then up he went again. He did not want to stay long for picture's. I miss those days when they were babies and you could just plop them down and they would stay still for picture's. I still love these picture's, it just show's the character that he is going to be :)

My Little Man
Dylan is 2 years old, and I'm going to say it.....Time sure flys by!! :) We had a busy day,had a breakfast brunch made by his dad, and then we took him for his 2 yr picture's, then a little shopping, and then a great family birthday party!! He had been talking about "Party" for the last couple days, so when we got home from the picture's he kept asking "Party?", "Party?". We had to keep telling him not for a couple of hours till your cousins/aunts/uncle's/& grandparents will come. When everyone came he got all funny and hyper jumping around, twirling, and falling to the ground. But when he's home without any friends or family around he doesn't really play with his toys, but when people are around he's gotta play with them. So while his cousins were all running around playing, he was lining up his cars in front of the T.V. It was quiet funny seeing him do that, I kept telling him that his cousin's are all here and you should go play with them, but nope kept to himself. Here are some picture's from the party

When everyone was singing to him, he really didn't know what to do, except try to touch the cake and taste the icing sugar. What kid doesn't wanna :) I put the candle's too far away from him so he really couldn't blow out his candle's. He tried but then I just did it for him. Then it was present's TIME!!! There were alot of cousins around that helped him open his gifts, and help Dylan read his cards. He HAD a GREAT DAY!!!
Here are somethings about him
-Loves trains-keeps using my iphone to look up clips on youtub
-Likes to watch Dora, In the night garden, Thomas & friends(kinda), Calliou, Little Lulu
-He is always wanting to watch the Movie "Dumbo"-maybe that's were the train love came from
-Loves his Juice
-Favorite meals are Spagetti, Taco's, Cream of mushroom/meat on rice, Yogurt, Apple Sauce, Cheese strings, and pop :) He will take a drink and say " Good Pop" Whoops!!
-Loves to get out of the house and go shopping!!
-Every time we are driving he keeps asking for Trains. Also when we are driving he can point out all the fast food places and say "Num Nums"
-He is really smart at using the Iphone....my mom dosen't even know how
-He LOVES his blanket....brings is all over the house

R.I.P Nap time
So for the past month Ryan and I have been struggling to get Dylan down for his afternoon naps. Dylan has always been a good sleeper, ever since he got home from the NICU. He would sleep thru the night etc. ( sorry Im bragging) Ryan gets off work at 12:30 every day so it's really nice having him home in the afternoon to help with Dylan, for us to do errands, me to just go shopping.
Anyways, we would put Dylan down around 1-1:30 and it would be a FIGHT!!! He would get into his draws and mess up all his clothes, look out his window, peel off his stickers on his wall, get in his garbage, get into all his packages of wipes ( the one's from costco) and rip off the little stickers on the inside to keep the wipes moist, knock on the door yelling for "mommy", "Daddy", or "wyan", he would even call for Grandma...lol It would be a good 2 hrs of this until either he would FINALLY stay in his bed & fall asleep, or we would give up. After about a good week of this I finally said lets not give him a nap and put him to bed early?? The only problem is that I LOVE my afternoon naps especially with this pregnancy kicking me in the energy department. So instead of Dylan having an afternoon nap he just gets to roam the house, or watch a movie while I for sure have a nap, and sometimes Ryan has one too since he gets up a 3am to go to work. But the only problem is that Dylan still dosen't go to bed early, he goes to bed around the same time as he did before even when he would have a 2 hr naps. I don't understand??
I never thought nap time would end?? Not that I don't love my son, but I just love that quiet time(& MY nap time) I would hear from friends that there kids still nap till there at least 3 years old, never thought before 2 yrs old. Like I said, a very VERY sad month :)

Sick...
So last week was the first time Dylan has gotten the throw up flu!!! When we went our for supper that night he kept sneezing, and coughing. But also if you looked into his eyes you could tell he was getting sick. So we came home, got him showered and ready for bed. He went to bed GREAT, but with a bad cough. I was debating to give him some cough medicine but decided not too. (Thank goodness) I was reading(more like watching tv) and I heard him cough alot, but I didn't want to go in a wake him up so I just let him cough it out. All of a sudden he gave a good scream and cry!! I went right in and he was on the white carpet and pointing at something. I flipped on the light and he threw up!!! I am not good with throwing up because it makes me want to join in. So I thought Dylan just coughed so hard that he threw up, but nope as I looked at him you could tell something was coming, so what do I do, grab his change table blow up thingy!!!! lol I didn't know what else to grab and I didn't want to get it on the carpet. I'm a geek I know.
So enough about that, but I wanted to say how much I hate seeing him sick!! I just want to take away the pain. He was supper cuddly all night and day and I LOVE THAT :) I did think in my head he needs to stay away from me because I DON'T want to get sick, and I HATE this kind of flu. Is this wrong of me to think this?? But then it also brought flash backs of my childhood of when I was sick. I would always cling onto my mom and she would nicely push me away because she didn't want to get sick. At the time I didn't understand and would cry & cry but now I know why. Finally my mom gave in and cuddled me and loved me, but in the end she ended up getting sick EVERYTIME!!! Oh the things our parents do for us, and we don't realize it until we get older with kids of our own :)

Another year under my belt

Well yesterday was my 31st birthday. I know, I know, I'm getting old but really I don't feel like it, and most of my friends & hubby are older then me so I know I will never catch up to them lol :) I didn't do much out of the ordinary. In the morning I took Dylan to his swim lesson, then got our booster juice's, checked to see if I won the millions(NOPE), then came home and had a nice long nap while Ryan looked after Dylan. Then I got woken up from Ryan saying my friends where here and I should get up! It was my friends from work that dropped off a card and a balloon :) ( Thanks Kim & Connie) The rest of the afternoon we just chilled and slowly got ready for dinner with my parents. We ended up going to Boston Pizza because I was craving the nachos. My parents don't ever go there , and after last night I don't think they will!!! Service was good, but the kitchen service was BAD!!! Took FOREVER!! I was starving, and so was everyone else. Oh well , dinner was done got a apple crisp for dessert, and then my parents took Dylan for the nite. SWEET( thanks m&d) So what do we do??? Just go to a movie.... Lol... We went a saw "The Kings Speech" which was so good, and I can see why they won a bunch of Oscars. I highly recommend that movie. Then to end the nite childless... We watch some Saturday night live. Wait for it...., wait for it..... The best part.... We then slept in till 11:30 AM!!!!! Sweet!!! Happy Birthday to me :)
The only thing I didn't get was a birthday cake or cupcake's. I mentioned this to Ryan, and he said he would go out and buy me something, whatever I want. What I want is for him to make me some cupcakes and he won't even do that!!!! I don't know why, but oh well it was a shot in the dark to see if he'd make me some :( Maybe me posting this will light a fire :)
Here are some picture's I took. The one is of Ryan and I just before the movie started. The one of Dylan in his car seat is him fast asleep after getting him from my parents house after his sleep over. He couldn't even make it home...lol

A little craft I did...

I've been wanting to do this for over a year. So I bought two blank canvases from Jysk and painted it first with the magnet paint, over and over again. About 8 coats front and back to finally make my magnets stick. Then I did 3 coats of the chalk board paint. And VO-LAY my homemade chalk/magnet board :)
P.S. This was the best picture I could get without getting a shadow :)
On another note I've made it to 25 weeks. Things have been WAY better since my scare last week. This picture is pretty cheezy with my big smile, but Ryan was making me laugh :)
